So who is Maurice Kanbar and why does he want to invest in downtown Tulsa commercial office space?
Maurice Kanbas is an innovator, he is an entrepreneur and he owns about 30% of Tulsa’s downtown commercial real estate. During Maurice’s storied career he has invented countless products, however today he still holds the patent on 36 patents on various
consumer and medical related products. Kanbar invented the famous D-Fuzz-It comb for sweaters, the incredible Tangoes Puzzle Game, the innovative Safetyglide hypodermic needle protector, the life-changing cryogenic cataract remover, the revolutionary LED traffic light and the office-friendly Zip Notes. Kanbar is also creditd as being the founder of New York’s very first multiplex cinema, the Quad Cinema, which was the 1st movie theatre in Manhattan to actually have 4 small auditoriums in one building. He made a huge splash in the

history. He has also received honorary degrees from numerous colleges including, Kenyon College, Bar-Llan University and Yeshiva University. Today Kanbar lives in San Francisco. Mr. Kanbar has truly changed the way that we view films, drive through traffic, pick those irritating fuzzy balls from our sweaters, enjoy a beverage at the bar and receive medial injections. With a mind that never stops inventing and innovating, Mr. Kanbar also recently released Hookwinked Too! Hood vs .Evil.
Having been born and raised in the heart of New York (Brooklyn). Mr. Kanbar has been quoted as saying, “There are many people out there with ideas. What I have is a gift. Some people have it, some people don’t.” With a passion for invention, a philanthropic heart
and a mind the never stops working he has said, “The money I make goes to charity. I don’t need anything material in my life. I don’t need a jet or a yacht. But education? I give to education because it’s something you can’t take away from anyone.”
